Non-profit affordable housing development and services.

CAN-DO is a non-profit developer of and advocate for affordable housing for low-moderate income individuals and families.

We create housing for families at or below 50% AMI that would not otherwise exist in Newton by acting as a manager, lessor,
or owner of these units.

We make available and connect support services to low income tenants, which we believe to be essential to many low income families in attaining and retaining housing stability while they work to achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Connecting Newton’s low-income residents with available housing.

In the midst of our current nationwide housing crisis, CAN-DO is hard at work to create housing, and ensure eligible residents have access to existing housing options.

Help is about more than just housing.

Support services are an essential component to long-term stability, and we work with a host of partners to ensure tenants have access to any and all available programs.

“It is hard to argue that housing is not a fundamental human need. Decent, affordable housing should be a basic right for everybody in this country. The reason is simple: without stable shelter, everything else falls apart.”

— Matthew Desmond, Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City
